Daily maintenance of hydraulic punching machines focuses on hydraulic system, dies, clamping mechanism, electrical components and machine‑body cleaning.Good routine maintenance can reduce oil leakage, pressure insufficiency, die damage and extend equipment service life.Maintenance can be divided into daily inspection, weekly maintenance and monthly maintenance.
Daily maintenance(before and after each shift)
1.Clean the machine body
Clear iron scraps, metal debris and dust on worktable, die holder and clamping fixture.Metal chips stuck in fixtures will cause pipe positioning offset and affect punching precision.Do not allow debris to enter hydraulic cylinder and guide‑slide clearance.
2.Check hydraulic oil level and oil leakage
Observe the oil level sight glass;keep oil level between upper and lower marks.Check cylinder piston rod,oil pipe joints, valve block for oil seepage.Minor oil leakage should be handled timely;replace aging seals in case of obvious dripping.
3.Check punch and die condition
Check whether the cutting edge is blunt, chipped or cracked.Remove burrs and attachments on die surface. If the edge is worn, grind or replace the punch‑die set.Confirm all die fastening screws are tightened to avoid offset during stamping.
4.Inspect clamping mechanism
Check fixture clamping action, ensure clamping pressure is stable. For thin‑wall pipe processing, avoid excessive pressure that crushes workpieces.Clean dirt on clamping jaw surface to prevent slipping during feeding.
5.Electrical cabinet and wiring simple check
Check whether emergency‑stop button, travel limit switch respond normally.Keep electrical box door closed to prevent iron dust and moisture from entering.Do not splash water on electrical components.
6.Lubricate sliding parts
Add a small amount of lubricating oil to guide‑slides and movable sliding surfaces.Avoid excessive oil mixed with iron filings forming abrasive paste.
Weekly maintenance
1.Inspect the whole hydraulic pipeline
Check oil pipes for aging, cracks and loose joints.Tighten loose pipe fittings.
2.Check pressure gauge and system pressure
Start equipment under no‑load, observe whether hydraulic pressure reaches rated value. If pressure is insufficient without load, check oil contamination and valve spool jamming.
3.Fasten mechanical bolts
Retighten bolts of worktable, die base, cylinder fixing seat.Long‑term stamping vibration will cause bolt loosening, leading to precision drift.
4.Clean oil tank air filter screen
Dust blocked air filter will cause negative pressure inside oil tank, resulting in unstable hydraulic output.
Monthly maintenance
1.Hydraulic oil quality inspection
Observe oil color and viscosity. If the oil turns dark black, foams heavily or contains metal powder, filter or replace hydraulic oil.Replace oil filter element at the same time when changing oil.
2.Inspect cylinder seals
Check piston‑rod surface for scratches. If there is obvious oil leakage from cylinder rod, replace oil‑seal assembly.
3.Comprehensive lubrication of all moving parts
Grease for hinge points, guide rails and adjusting screw rods.
4.Check limit switches and sensors
Verify the reliability of stroke‑limit protection to prevent over‑travel damage to dies and machine.
5.Check grounding protection
Confirm good grounding of the whole machine to avoid electric‑safety risks.
Common fault‑prevention notes
1.Do not long‑term work under overload pressure;do not process workpieces exceeding the rated tonnage.
2.When processing different wall‑thickness pipes, adjust die clearance and clamping pressure in time.
3.Do not adjust hydraulic pressure arbitrarily without professional guidance;excessive pressure accelerates seal and die damage.
4.Keep the workshop environment dry;avoid moisture entering the hydraulic oil tank.
